Basic information on almost all huts (even those not affiliated with the club) can be found on the Swiss Alpine Club's hut finder pages, in either French or German. A Google search on any given hut will, of course, provide a large number of other links. In addition some huts have their own web sites:
An excellent resource (in French) for selected huts is the refuges section of the site www.lesmonts.ch, which has in addition some fine reports, of both hiking and skiing trips.
I do not read German, but the site www.vs-wallis.ch has understandable tables for each hut. I find the site hard to navigate, but will click on any pages from it that search engines may find.
- The Cabane
d'Orny and the Cabane de Trient
are not on the classical Haute Route, but Banzhaf suggests going up the Combe
d'Orny on the Champex to Ferret stage, and I have given a lot of
thought to going over the Col de Breya. In either case a night at one
or the other of these huts is a possibility.
- The Cabane
Brunet is not on the basic Haute Route, but any variant going to
the south to avoid the Verbier ski areas is almost sure to use it, and
possibly the Cabane Panossière. Site in French only.
- The Cabane FXB -
Panossière is also an optional stage on the more southernly
versions of the route. Site in French only.
- Cabane du Mont Fort: alpine club

- Cabane des Dix (French

- Cabane de Moiry

- Cabane du Petit Mountet.
An interesting variant of the Haute Route is to go down from Sorebois
to this hut. From there one can either go down the valley to Zinal
(Kev Reynolds), or (after a night at the hut) go north on the other
side of the valley, via Roc de la Vache, to the Hotel Weisshorn.
- Weisshornhütte
(in German). Banzhaf suggests going
from St Niklaus to Zermatt along the valley with a detour to this
hut.
- The VALRANDO brochure suggests
going from Jungen to Randa (and then on to Zermatt) by a higher route,
via the Topalihütte.
- Europahütte, in
